A migraine is a type of severe headache. It is accompanied by nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and sometimes vomiting. Migraine sufferers report pressure or throbbing beginning on one side of the head, a sore feeling in the area where the migraine was, and some report impaired thinking for a few days after the headache has passed. Migraines are caused by a variety of factors, including diet, stress, allergens, menstruation, and changes in the weather. The effects of migraine may persist for many days after the main headache has ended. |
